A Peer 1 Podcast hosted by Dr Mikayla Couch

Dr Mikayla Couch is a Bundjalung woman from Tweed Heads and a gynaecology and obstetrics registrar. She is joined by a faculty of Indigenous Heath Care Professionals (HCPs), as they cover some of the broader health issues facing Indigenous Australians.

The series looks at ‘closing the gap’ in diverse areas, highlighting the cultural challenges faced by patients and HCPs - whilst informing simple strategies and practice for primary health care.

BLA.C.K Medicine provides a novel platform for Indigenous HCP to convey their passion and expertise to a broader healthcare audience in addressing the disparity in health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
